About the Author 

Author Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) is the author of an entire series of books on Ayurvedic medicine including Yoga and Ayurveda, Ayurveda and the Mind and the Yoga of Herbs. He has also written extensively on Yoga, Vedic Astrology and related Vedic disciplines. Dr. Frawley is one of the few westerners whose expertise on these subjects is honored throughout India. He is currently director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies, which offers courses and training programs in Ayurveda and related Vedic disciplines, and president of the American Council of Vedic Astrology.
